Full Time Strength Coach

Badin Athletics is proud to provide every student-athlete with access to a full-time Strength & Conditioning Coach, reinforcing our commitment to developing champions both on and off the field.

Coach Craig Cheek has led Badin’s Strength & Conditioning program since 2016. He earned his undergraduate degree from Bluffton University and his master’s degree from Bowling Green State University. Prior to joining the Rams, Coach Cheek gained valuable experience at the University of Notre Dame, where he worked with several Division I programs, including the Fighting Irish Football and Women’s Basketball teams.

Under Coach Cheek’s leadership, Badin student-athletes have embraced a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement. His year-round program is designed to help athletes become stronger, faster, more explosive, and more resilient while reducing the risk of injury and preparing them to compete at the highest level.

During the school year, Badin introduced an innovative opportunity by offering Strength & Conditioning classes during the school day, allowing student-athletes to train as part of their academic schedule. Due to the overwhelming success of the program, Coach Cheek now teaches seven class periods each day, giving more student-athletes the opportunity to benefit from professional strength training without sacrificing time after school.

More than just building stronger athletes, Coach Cheek’s program develops the qualities that define Badin Athletics—leadership, resilience, discipline, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. His impact extends far beyond the weight room, helping prepare Rams for success in competition, the classroom, and life.

Coach Cheek is assisted by Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, Gregory Parks.
