Strong Efforts and Season Bests at the Loveland Invitational

August 30 – Loveland, OH
The Badin Cross Country teams took to the trails at the Loveland Invitational on Friday, going head-to-head with some of the region’s top Division I competition. Despite facing tough fields, both the Varsity Girls and Boys turned in gritty performances with multiple season and personal bests.

Varsity Girls – 13th Place Overall

Facing a deep and competitive field, the Varsity Girls team secured 13th place out of 16 teams. Sophomore Tilly Westrich led the charge with an impressive season best of 22:01.6, followed closely by Elizabeth Hoeting (22:29.1). Sophia Kollstedt also clocked a season best with a strong 23:26.6 finish. Rounding out the scoring five were Tabby Buschelmann (24:25.5) and Clare Giffen (25:05.5). The girls showed great resilience, competing with determination against predominantly Division I squads.

Varsity Boys – 14th Place Overall

The Varsity Boys team landed 14th out of 16, highlighted by Freshman Levi Couch, who once again led the team with a solid time of 19:25. He was followed by a trio of strong performances, including Eli Grammel (21:00.6), Grayson Pinnick (21:23.1), both of whom ran season bests, and Junior Newberry (21:47.2). James Otto closed out the top five with a 23:27.2. The boys’ squad showed great promise and effort while gaining valuable experience against elite competition.
