Athlete of the Week- Presented by Wings on Brookwood

Congratulations to Badin Baseball leadoff hitter and left fielder Junior James Brink for being names the Wings on Brookwood Athlete of the Week. He had two hits including a home run and three RBIs in a 10-0 league win over Carroll, and three hits and four RBIs including a home run, in a 13-1 win over Roger Bacon. He has five homers and 17 RBIs this season.

BNN Junior Maddie Stephens on James Brink

Junior James Brink is our Athlete of the Week. He’s on the varsity baseball team. To get a better idea of James’ mindset and motivations to keep pushing forward, we reached out to him with some questions. According to James, what keeps him going is the process of getting up everyday no matter the situation to get better and to stay dedicated to becoming the best I can be. His favorite aspects of baseball are the teamwork and energy from his teammates. The most exciting part of baseball to him is winning a very close game, and his biggest supporter is his mom, for she has always been there for him and wants him to do his best. He’s been playing baseball since he was 7, and plans to keep playing after high school. Congrats James, and keep playing hard!
