For Immediate Release: Badin Head Men’s Basketball Coach Announced
Hamilton, OH – Badin High School is proud to announce the appointment of Ben Cosgrove as the new Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball program. A familiar and respected presence within the Badin community, Coach Cosgrove brings with him a legacy of leadership, a deep understanding of the game, and an unwavering commitment to the development of young athletes.
Cosgrove has been an integral part of the Rams basketball program for the past eight years, serving in multiple capacities and demonstrating a relentless passion for both the sport and the student-athletes he mentors. Coach Cosgrove has served in different roles under Badin’s Winningest Basketball coach, Coach Gerry Weisgerber, Coach Pat Kreke, and most recently Coach CJ Fleming. His long-standing involvement has fostered meaningful relationships with players, families, and fellow coaches—bonds that have built trust and laid a strong foundation for continued success.
With 23 years of head coaching experience, Cosgrove is no stranger to guiding programs with integrity and purpose. He is known for his servant leadership mentality, consistently putting the needs of his players and the greater community above personal accolades. His coaching philosophy centers around discipline, accountability, and growth—on and off the court.
Coach Cosgrove’s mission aligns with that of Badin High School. He envisions the basketball program “To be an extension of the innovative and enriching faith-based education rooted in Catholic tradition. Stephen T. Badin High School Boys Basketball will empower young men to achieve their personal best, live their faith and lead the future. As a Coaching Staff we will create value for each individual player within a team concept while developing his understanding that preparation, serving others, strength in character, self-confidence, and focusing on the fundamentals and details are key ingredients to success on and off the court.”
