
Badin Athletics Names New Head Men’s Soccer Coach
Badin High School is excited to welcome Brad Specht as the new Head Men’s Soccer Coach.
Coach Specht brings a wealth of experience as both an educator and coach, with a proven track record of developing student-athletes on and off the field. He currently serves as a teacher in Hamilton City Schools, where he works daily with a broad spectrum of students to promote lifelong fitness, teamwork, and personal growth. His background in education—including work in special education, credit recovery, and student support—reflects a deep commitment to meeting students where they are and helping them succeed academically and athletically.
On the soccer field, Coach Specht offers extensive leadership experience. He most recently served as a Varsity Assistant Boys Soccer Coach at Kettering Fairmont High School, where he helped manage the program, plan and lead training sessions, scout opponents, and foster a positive team culture. Prior to that, he was the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Edgewood High School for eight seasons, overseeing all aspects of the program while emphasizing player development, tactical preparation, and accountability.
A former collegiate soccer player at Wilmington College, Coach Specht holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health from Miami University, with a minor in Coaching. His professional background also includes several years as a strength and conditioning trainer, working with high school programs and individual athletes to improve performance, injury prevention, and overall athletic development.
Coach Specht is passionate about education-based athletics and shares Badin’s commitment to excellence. He looks forward to investing in Badin’s student-athletes, building strong relationships with families and staff, and continuing the proud tradition of Badin Men’s Soccer.
