Badin Rams Golf Rolling Through the Season: JV Improves to 8-1, Varsity Streak at 12

The Badin High School Girls Golf teams continue to dominate the season, with both JV and Varsity squads putting together impressive runs as they head into another competitive week.

JV Rams Improve to 8-1

The JV Rams extended their stellar season record to 8-1 with back-to-back wins this past week.

First, they took down Little Miami at Indian Ridge, where Kara Platz led the charge as medalist, shooting a 14-over-par 50. The team’s momentum carried through to September 4, when they defeated Oak Hills at Tri-County Golf Ranch. This time, it was Amelia Kessler who shined brightest, earning team medalist honors with a smooth 11-over-par 38. Sophia Stitzel backed her up closely with a strong 39.

Looking ahead, JV is gearing up for a high-stakes rematch with Seton at Meadowlinks, the only team to hand them a loss so far this season. That match is set to be a major test as the Rams look to settle the score. They’ll also return to Indian Ridge on September 11 to take on Lakota West at 4 PM.

Varsity Rams Winning Streak Hits 12

The Varsity Rams continue their dominant campaign, extending their win streak to 12 matches after another flawless week.

They opened with a win over Taylor at Miami Whitewater, with Taylor Zoz leading the way by carding a 39. Teammates Hannah Meridieth and Leah Martinkovic followed close behind with solid 41s.

Next up was a challenge at the Glenview West Course against Ursuline—a course the team had never played before. But unfamiliar territory didn’t slow the Rams down. They came away with a 170-184 victory, thanks again to Taylor Zoz, who shot another 39, and Leah Martinkovic, who turned in a 42.

The Varsity squad looks to keep the streak alive this week with two big matchups: Lakota West at Indian Ridge, followed by a trip to Miami Whitewater to take on Seton.

Stay tuned as both teams continue their march through a promising season. Go Rams! 🐏⛳
