Track and Field Collect Hardware at the Dale Plank Invitational
The Badin High School Track and Field Team had a stellar performance at the Dale Plank Invitational held at Talawanda High School on April 22nd. The event featured numerous exciting races and field events, with both the boys’ and girls’ teams making a mark in several competitions.
Boys’ Results
The Badin Boys’ Team had an outstanding day, highlighted by strong individual performances and relay success.

Max Snellgrove (’26) had a standout day, claiming first place in both the 200-meter dash (22.48) and the 400-meter dash (49.61). His versatility and speed made him one of the stars of the meet.

Lem Grayson (’26) ran a strong 100-meter dash, finishing in second place with a time of 11.44, showing he can compete at the highest level.

Jordan Crider (’27) emerged as a top contender in the 110-meter hurdles, winning first place with an impressive time of 15.93, while his brother, Jrue Crider (’28), took second in the same event with a time of 17.68.

In the 300-meter hurdles, Ben Sakach (’26) led the way for Badin, finishing in 4th place with a time of 45.43, while his teammates Evan Kathman (’26) (46.97, 5th) and Darren Kolodzic (47.12, 6th) also showed solid performances.

Cale Creech (’27) delivered an outstanding jump of 20-5.5 in the long jump to take first place, a major highlight for Badin in the field events.

The boys’ relay teams showed excellent coordination, with the 4×100 relay team finishing in second place (43.63) and the 4×200 relay team also claiming second (1:35.11). The 4×400 relay and 4×800 relay teams both finished in 4th place, continuing to build momentum for the season ahead.

Other notable finishes include Dylan Fleckenstein (’25), who had solid performances in both the high jump (5’ 6”, 9th place) and the 200-meter dash (24.95, 9th place), and Mason Thomas (’26), who finished 5th in the shot put (40-2) and 8th in the discus (109-10).
Girls’ Results
The Badin Girls’ Team also put together a great performance, with several athletes earning top finishes.

Catherine Hoeting (’27) shined in both the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, taking 3rd place in the 100 meters with a time of 13.50 and 6th in the 200 meters with a time of 28.22.

Mia Siefert (’25), another standout for the girls, placed 3rd in the 200-meter dash (27.73) and contributed to a strong finish in the 4×200 relay.

Naomi Samples (’25) made her presence felt in the 400-meter dash, securing 3rd place with a time of 1:03.14. She also competed in the 200-meter dash, where she finished in 7th place.

Madeline Anthony (’27) placed 3rd in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.65, while Tilly Westrich (’28)also represented well in the 300-meter hurdles, taking 7th place (55.39), and in the 100-meter hurdles, where she finished 8th (18.69).

Grace Klopfstein (’26) had a dominant performance in the high jump, clearing 5′ to take first place, adding another victory for Badin in the field events.

In relay events, the 4×100 relay team brought home a second-place finish (54.16), while the 4×200 relay and 4×400 relay teams finished 4th (1:52.09) and 5th (4:29.74), respectively. The 4×800 relay team rounded out the relays in 4th place with a time of 12:42.60.

Mia Siefert (’25) also had a strong outing in the long jump, placing 4th with a jump of 15-10.
The Badin Track and Field Team showed incredible depth and talent at the Dale Plank Invitational, with athletes excelling across the board in both running and field events. With impressive individual performances and strong relay results, the team continues to build momentum heading into the rest of the season!
