Welcome Back Coach Jenn Burley- Head Cross Country Coach

Welcome Back Coach Jenn Burley!- Head Cross Country Coach

We’re excited to welcome our new Cross Country Coach, Jenn Burley, to the Badin High School family! Coach Burley brings with her a wealth of experience and a deep passion for the sport. Before joining us here at Badin, she spent seven years coaching distance track at Badin High School, and for the past three years, she’s been leading the Boys and Girls Cross Country programs at Fairfield High School.

A Badin alum, Coach Burley also ran Cross Country and Track during her high school years and continued her athletic career at Belmont University. She is deeply committed to helping athletes push beyond their limits and discover the thrill of accomplishing what once seemed impossible. Her favorite part about coaching is watching athletes realize their potential and fall in love with the sport of Cross Country, which she calls a “lifetime sport.”

When asked what makes Cross Country unique, Coach Burley shared, “The supportive environment of the sport is unlike any other. Cross Country is not an easy sport. You are often pushing yourself to extremes in races and practices, overcoming not just physical limits but often mental barriers as well. The challenge creates a bond with other runners—not just teammates but all runners. Everyone who runs understands what it takes to keep going. It’s like joining a family, a community that accepts and cheers on everyone.”

Her advice to newcomers? “Stick it out and really give it a try. You’ll be amazed at how much you can accomplish when you push through and give yourself the chance to succeed.”

We’re thrilled to have Coach Burley leading our Cross Country team and can’t wait to see all the great things ahead for our athletes under her guidance!
