Badin Swim Results

The Badin Rams High School Swim Team has had a strong and competitive start to their season, with standout performances across a variety of events. The team participated in several key meets, showcasing both individual talent and relay strength. Here’s a summary of their recent results:

Cowboy Classic

The Rams faced tough competition at the Cowboy Classic, finishing in the middle of the pack with the men placing 5th and the women placing 3rd. Some of the top individual performances included:

• Hengehold: 1st in the 100 Backstroke and 1st in the 200 IM
• Hartford: 1st in the 50 Free and 2nd in the 100 Back
• Burke, Ka: 2nd in the 100 Fly and 2nd in the 100 Back

Relay events also saw success, with strong finishes in both the men’s and women’s categories.

Winton Woods/Middletown/Hamilton Invitational

At this meet, the men’s team placed 3rd and the women’s team came in 2nd. Key performances included:

• Newberry: 1st in the 200 IM and 100 Back
• Kraus: 1st in the 200 Free
• Hartford: 1st in the 500 Free and 2nd in the 200 Free
• Women’s 200 Medley A Relay: 2nd
• Ruther: 1st in the 100 Back
• Leiss: 1st in the 50 Free

The Rams also had great success in the relay events, with several A and B teams placing well in their respective categories.

Fenwick Invitational

At the Fenwick Invite, the Badin Rams continued their momentum, with both the men’s and women’s teams placing 2nd. Notable individual results included:

• Ruther: 1st in the 100 Back and 1st in the 200 IM
• Women’s A Medley Relay: 1st
• Men’s A Medley Relay: 1st
• Herman: 1st in the 200 Free and 100 Fly
• Burke, Ka: 2nd in the 500 Free and 2nd in the 100 Breast
• Newberry: 1st in the 500 Free
• Hartford: 2nd in the 200 IM

The Rams demonstrated their relay strength again, with both men’s and women’s teams finishing near the top in several relays.

Braves Invitational

The Rams faced a more challenging competition at the Braves Invite, where the men’s team placed 7th and the women’s team placed 8th. Despite the tough competition, there were still some strong individual results:

• Wood: 1st in the 50 Back
• Schmitt: 1st in the 50 Fly
• Newberry: 1st in the 500 Free and 2nd in the 100 Back
• Burke, Ka: 2nd in the 100 Back and 100 Breast

While the team didn’t finish as high in the standings, these performances showed that Badin’s swimmers were competitive and capable of competing with the best.
