Athlete of the Week- 9/23- 9/29 | Presented by Wings on Brookwood
For the first time Badin Girls Golf played in the Sectionals at the D1 level. We competed against 17 teams at Walden Ponds. Notable teams were Anderson, Sycamore, St. Ursula, Kings, Mason, and Seton.
Taylor shot a 76 to qualify for Districts as an individual. Taylor was 4 over after the front nine. She started the back nine with a Bogey, Par, Birdie and then a triple Bogey on the Par 5. Taylor then proceeded to Birdie the 14th hole of play. the Eagled the 15th hole. She parred the remaining holes to shoot par 36 on the back nine.
Taylor finished 6th overall out of the 84 players who competed that day.
Of the four teams that qualified, Taylor beat 16 out of their 20 players.
Taylor’s season scoring average is 39 for nine holes. She was also named First Team in the GCL (Greater Catholic League) Conference Tournament in the prior week.’
