Girls Soccer- Badin vs Fairfield Recap
BNN- Brynn Brown ’25 & Maddie Treadway ’28
Rams Win 1-0
After an intense game between Fairfield and Badin, the Rams brought home a win against one of their biggest rival in a 1-0 match. Sophomore Danielle Birri scored her first goal of the season. “I was just in shock.”(Birri) She hasn’t been put in the position to attempt a goal and she was thrilled when it happened.
Senior Abby Mathews calls for more energy from the team and the student section. When Mathews was asked about the back and forth between student sections leading up to the game, she responded, “It really didn’t affect us at all. We don’t let that stuff get to us.” (Mathews). As the game progressed, the girls connected their passes and moved more fluently together.
Keeping a positive attitude was hard according to Birri, she says “When I was at the end line they (Fairfield Student Section) kept screaming at me. But I tried to not give them any attention.” After her game-winning goal, the Ram spirits were raised. Then with an aggressive offense and a steady defense, the girls soccer team brought home yet another win against Fairfield.
